How to import color photographs and radiographs

If the originals are color slides or radiographs, the color slides or radiograph must be scanned by a scanner which has a transparency adapter attached to it. The scanned JPEG image can be import directly into the software. If the originals are taken by a digital camera, the JPEG image can be imported directly into the CephaloMetrics A to Z software.


Creation of informed consent document

A patient is suitably motivated from photographs of the mouth and face (with or without radiographs), that were taken at the initial consultation appointment. This document can be printed out and given to the patient for them to view and keep.




Image enhance

Images or X-rays can be enhanced and made clearer by using the "enhance" function. The scanned image to be enhanced is then boxed, and the enhance function selected.

Functions include brightness, contrast, saturation, emboss, hue and invert.

Model analysis

Explaining treatment plans to the patient is made easier with the model analysis function. It can calculate the space discrepancy using the Bezier curve. It can also simulate tooth extractions.


Standard and Customized Analysis
Lateral analyses include Ricketts, McNamara, Steiner(Tweed), Jarabak, Roth, Sassouni, Downs, Holdaway,Burstone,and four user defined combinations and variations analysis.
Frontal analysis: Ricketts, symmetry and four user defined analysis.
Submentovertex analysis: Submentovertex and four user defined analysis.

Diagnosis summary of Dr.Kim

Your treatment (relapse, ODI and CF, open bite tendency andextraction versus non-extraction) is standardized or judged against the APDI of Dr. Kim, who has a clinical experience of over 4,000 cases. This summaries the diagnosis into text form, and diagnosis window.


Bezier curve

The soft-tissue and hard-tissue outlines are corrected with a Bezier curve which can be finely adjusted.


Orthodontic and surgery simulation

The surgery simulation can be carried out by two mandibular lines and one maxillary line. It can also be carried out using the Treatment Dialog box, found on the left-hand side of the window.

CO/CR Conversion
Entering CPI or MPI readings, the patient's condyle is automatically repositioned from Centric Occlusions to Centric Relations.


Facial Diagram

You can display common analyses such as superposition by the standard value, superposition by the SN-FH plane, and display of soft-tissue. Dowens-North Western analysis and linear analysis can also be displayed in this manner. These can also be represented in polygonal form.

Superimpositions
Easily superimpose cephalometric tracing over the patient's photo.
Superimpose tracings of different timepoints with standard superimposition references (SN at Sella, Frankfort at Porion, Na-Pg at ANS-PNS....).
